Marvin D. Ammons, age 43, of 320 Seven Eagles Lane, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Mary Gran Nursing Center in Clinton, NC. Marvin was born on September 24, 1982, in Sampson County to the late Claude Douglas Ammons and Sylvia Smith.
Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Holly Grove Holiness Church located on 1519 Indian Town Rd., Clinton, NC 28328. Pastor Julius Simmons, officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Holly Grove Cemetery, located across from 987 Indian Town Rd., Clinton, NC.
Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service, 2:00-3:00 pm, within the Holly Grove Holiness Sanctuary.
Marvin was a dedicated employee of Murphy Brown. He found joy and fulfillment in his work. Marvin had a deep love for fishing, which he considered his favorite pastime. He was an avid sports enthusiast, with a particular passion for football. He proudly cheered for the Cincinnati Bengals and the NC State Wolfpack. Marvin also had a great appreciation for food. His favorite dish was 'Potato Starch Water'.
Marvin is survived by his siblings: Melissa Medina of Clinton, NC, Janet Jordan of Fayetteville, NC, and Charlene Ammons of Florida. He also leaves behind his beloved bonus child: Emily Gainey as well as a host of aunts, uncles, extended family, and dear friends.
Marvin will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His kindness, enthusiasm, and love for life will be fondly remembered.
